Crazy 'Twilight' Fans Lying About Engagements to Try On Bella's Wedding Dress
by Andy NeuenschwanderWhen Alfred Angelo bridal boutiques made a replica design of Bella's wedding dress from "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I," they probably assumed it would be good for business. After all, a lot of Twihards out there are going to want a Twilight-themed wedding, and selling the $800 dress to those fans could mean some good money for the shops.
There's just one problem though: they forgot that some Twihards are crazy.
TMZ is reporting that the Alfred Angelo boutiques are being booked up with fittings for Twilight fans who want to wear the dress, just as expected. The only problem is that most of these fans aren't about to get married at all.
Yes, Twihards are actually going to Alfred Angelo boutiques and lying about being engaged so that they have the opportunity to try on Bella's wedding dress and see how it looks.
That puts the boutiques in an awkward position: having fake customers ties them up when they could be dealing with real customers. And what are they going to do? Tell the lying Twihards "I don't believe you" and ask for proof of their engagement?
This isn't even the actual design for the dress, either: it's a replica approximation. The real design is by Carolina Herrera, who will be releasing the official dress design in early 2012.
Here's a tip for all the Alfred Angelo boutiques out there: if a girl walks in wearing a "Team Edward" shirt, proceed with caution.
